[1-(6-Aminopurin-9-Yl)-3-Fluoropropan-2-Yl]Oxymethylphosphonic Acid is an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate analog that inhibits the RNA transcriptase activity of human pathogens. It binds to the enzyme and prevents the formation of a new strand of RNA, thereby halting the replication process. This nucleotide analog has been shown to be active against viruses such as herpes simplex virus and HIV, as well as against bacteria such as hepatitis B and murine sarcoma virus. It is also active against some protozoa such as Leishmania donovani. [1-(6-Aminopurin-9-Yl)-3-Fluoropropan-2-Yl]Oxymethylphosphonic Acid has also been shown to inhibit Toll Like Receptor 3 (TLR3) signaling, which may contribute to its antiv
