N,N-Diethylallylamine is a chemical compound with the formula CH3CH2CH2CH=CH2. It is an allyl ligand that binds to metals such as palladium. N,N-Diethylallylamine has been shown to undergo nucleophilic attack by trifluoromethanesulfonic acid to form a metal salt. N,N-Diethylallylamine also polymerizes at low temperatures and can act as an initiator for the polymerization of other monomers such as dimethyl fumarate (DMF). This compound has optical properties that are sensitive to temperature changes and can be used in thermal imaging applications.
