Calcium L-lactate pentahydrate is the calcium salt of L-lactic acid, which is a naturally occurring organic compound. It is produced by the hydrolysis of lactose, which is a sugar found in milk. Calcium L-lactate pentahydrate has been shown to be effective in treating symptoms caused by bacterial strains that are sensitive to its effects.
