4-Bromo-2-fluoro-benzonitrile is a heterocyclic compound that belongs to the trifluoroacetic acid family. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of BCR-ABL, a protein that is involved in the pathway for the synthesis of myeloid leukemia cells. 4-Bromo-2-fluoro-benzonitrile has also been shown to inhibit growth factor receptors in activated T cells and it is potent enough to inhibit protein synthesis at nanomolar concentrations. This molecule can be synthesized using a solid phase synthesis technique and its molecular weight is 126.5 g/mol. 4-Bromo-2-fluoro-benzonitrile has been observed in a diode array, showing morphology and crystal structure with formula weight 126.5 g/mol.
