Informazioni sul prodotto
- Benzaldehyde, 2-bromo-4-(trifluoromethyl)-
2-Bromo-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzaldehyde (BTA) is a chemical compound that is used as a food additive. It is a dehydrating agent, which reacts with the hydroxyl group of fatty acids to form esters. BTA has been shown to have antiviral activity against influenza virus in cell culture. BTA has also been shown to inhibit cancer cells and promote their death by triggering apoptosis. The physiological activities of BTA are related to its ability to act as an enzyme catalyst for acyl halides and vinylene. This chemical stabilizes fatty acid esters and can prevent them from going rancid.
