Informazioni sul prodotto
- [1,1'-biphenyl]-2,4,4'-triamine
- 2,4,4-Biphenyltriamine
Biphenyl-2,4,4'-triamine is a drug that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to epidermal growth factor receptors on the cell surface. It has been shown to be effective in treating proliferative diabetic retinopathy and cervical cancer. This drug also binds to potassium ions and alters the permeability of microvessels, which may contribute to its anti-proliferative effects. Biphenyl-2,4,4'-triamine binds specifically with an antibody called monoclonal antibodies that are specific for cancer cells. This binding prevents the binding of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and EGF receptors on the cell surface, which leads to reduced proliferation of cancer cells.
