2-(4-Bromophenyl)quinoxaline is a quinoxaline derivative that has been shown to have symptomatic properties in patients with pancreatic cancer. 2-(4-Bromophenyl)quinoxaline blocks the acetylcholine receptor, which may be responsible for its anti-tumor activity. This drug also interacts with neurotransmitters and can cause adverse effects on cholinesterases. The compound has been shown to inhibit the activity of butyrylcholinesterase, an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, and could be a potential treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
