Descrizione:
1-Benzylcyclohexanol is a hydroxylated cyclohexanol that can be used as a corrosion inhibitor. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and to inhibit the production of prostaglandins in the prostate, which may be due to its ability to interfere with the activity of amines such as benzylamine. 1-Benzylcyclohexanol is also an efficient method for synthesizing benzylamine derivatives, which are compounds that have been shown to possess anti-inflammatory properties. The benzyl group on this compound can also undergo a number of reactions including alicyclic ring formation or condensation with cyclohexanone or phenylacetaldehyde.
