Informazioni sul prodotto
- 1H-inden-1-one, 3-bromo-2,3-dihydro-
- 3-Bromoindan-1-one
3-Bromo-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one is a labile compound that is synthesised by the reaction of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde with thiourea. It has been shown to be active against Gram negative bacteria and can be used for the treatment of infections caused by these bacteria. The stereoselective synthesis of 3-bromo-2,3-dihydroindenone has been accomplished using an asymmetric synthesis method. The product was found to have no mutagenicity in Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 and TA100. The chiral nature of this compound allows it to be used as a chiral catalyst in reactions with predictable reaction products.
