Benzyloxyacetylchloride is a tetronic acid that has been shown to have therapeutic potential for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Benzyloxyacetylchloride inhibits protein target, which leads to the inhibition of syncytial virus infection. It is also a film-forming polymer with bowel disease as its substrate. The molecule can be synthesized in an asymmetric synthesis and it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. Benzyloxyacetylchloride reacts with amides or hydroxyl groups, leading to the formation of inflammatory bowel disease. It is also used as a drug to treat influenza virus infections and inflammatory diseases.
