Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4-bromobenzo[d]thiazole
4-Bromobenzothiazole is a heterocyclic compound that has been synthesized as an electron-rich electrophile. It is a nucleophile and can be used in nucleophilic attack reactions with electron-deficient carbonyl compounds, such as 2-chlorobenzothiazole. Benzothiazoles are electrophilic aromatic compounds and 4-bromobenzothiazole is the most electronegative of the benzothiazoles. This electropositive property makes it a good synthetic intermediate for other benzothiazoles. 4-Bromobenzothiazole also has vitamin B1 (thiamine) activity, which may be due to its ability to activate enzymes involved in the synthesis of thiamine in the body.
