Descrizione:
7-Bromoheptanenitrile is a synthetic fatty acid that has been found to be cytotoxic in human serum. It induces cell death by binding to the nucleophilic sites of the cell membrane, leading to activation of the cells. The compound can also act as a competitive inhibitor for activated enzymes such as phospholipase A2 and cytochrome P450. 7-Bromoheptanenitrile has been shown to have synergistic interactions with certain anticancer drugs, such as mitomycin C and doxorubicin.
