Bis(cyclopentadienyl)chromium (II) is a molecule that is an organometallic compound. This metal ion forms a complex with a cyclopentadienyl ligand and ethyl diazoacetate. The chromium atom has two oxidation states, +2 and +3, which is determined by the presence of an electron-donating or -accepting ligand. Chromium(III) can also be reduced to chromium(I) in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid or photoelectron.
