Informazioni sul prodotto
- 3-(Benzyloxy)-4-oxo-4h-pyran-2-carboxylic acid
Trifluoroacetic acid is a chemical compound that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis, mainly for the introduction of "trifluoromethyl" groups. It is also used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals such as 3-benzyloxy-4-oxo-4H-pyran-2-carboxylic acid (TFP). TFP has been shown to be effective against pediatric cancer cells and has been studied in clinical trials. TFP inhibits tumor growth by inhibiting the expression of PD-L1, an immune checkpoint protein which helps regulate T cell activity. Trifluoroacetic acid has also been shown to inhibit polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification in methyl ethyl DNA samples, which may be due to its ability to react with copper ions or copper complexes. The reaction mechanism for trifluoroacetic acid is not well understood but it has been proposed that it involves formation of an amine
