Bipyridine is a small organic molecule with a molecular weight of 102.1 g/mol. It has been shown to have proton-emission properties, which may be due to its ability to bind to cancer cells. Bipyridine has also been shown to bind well with many metal ions, such as copper and silver, and selectively binds with zinc, nickel, and palladium ions.
