5,7-Bis-(benzyloxy)-2-(4-(benzyloxy)phenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one is a benzene derivative that has a terminal chromene ring system. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system with space group C2/c and lattice parameters a = 8.857(3), b = 5.976(1), c = 8.578(3) Å, β = 106.07°, V = 1804(2) Å3, Z = 4 and Dcalcd = 1.98 g cm-3 (compared to 2.00 g cm-3). This compound has a dihedral angle of 94°, the same as its related compounds benzene and phenol, which are also planar molecules with one bond between the planes of their aromatic rings and one bond perpendicular to them. The stacking interaction between these two molecules is relatively weak
