6-Bromo-4-chloroquinazoline is a chemical compound that inhibits the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). This inhibition leads to decreased tumor growth and inhibition of certain cancers. 6-Bromo-4-chloroquinazoline has been shown to be extremely cytotoxic, with significant inhibitory effects on cancer cells in vitro. The structure of this molecule has not been elucidated, but it is known to have hydrogen bonding interactions with the EGFR. It also has pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to lapatinib, which is an anti-cancer drug used for the treatment of breast cancer.
