Descrizione

2-tert-Butyl-4-methylphenol is a hydrogen bond inhibitor that can be used as a food additive. It binds to the surface of multi-walled carbon nanotubes, inhibiting their reactivity with cancer cells and stopping them from proliferating. 2-tert-Butyl-4-methylphenol is also known for its antioxidant properties and has been shown to stop the growth of carcinoma cell lines in vitro. The binding constants for 2-tert-Butyl-4-methylphenol are low, which means that it is not very stable. The activation energies for this compound are high, indicating that it requires more energy to break the bonds between molecules than other compounds do.
