Informazioni sul prodotto
6-Bromo-2-chloro-4-methylquinoline is a synthetic, anilide derivative that exhibits activity against infectious diseases. This compound has a steric effect on the electron accepting groups in the bromoaniline ring system. The 6-bromo group provides electron density to the aromatic ring and the 2-chloro group provides electron density to the phenyl ring. The electronic effect of these substituents is to optimize steric interactions with the bromoaniline ring system, which are critical for potentiating antiinfective activity. A study monitoring esters that have similar structures to 6-bromo-2-chloroquinoline has been conducted and showed that they also have potent antiinfective properties.
