Informazioni sul prodotto
6-Bromo-4-methoxyquinoline (6BMQ) is a phosphorylating agent that has been shown to inhibit the phosphorylation of Ser/Thr residues in cancer cells. 6BMQ has been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on various cancer cell lines, as well as low nanomolar inhibitory activity against cancer cells. This class of compounds is also known to have anti-inflammatory properties. The advances in this field are expected to lead to new inhibitors for cancer therapy. 6BMQ binds reversibly and competitively inhibits kinases, including protein kinase C, glycogen synthase kinase 3ß, and casein kinase II. It has also been shown to inhibit the tyrosine phosphatases PTP1B and SHP2, leading to inhibition of tumorigenesis.
