Informazioni sul prodotto
- 7-Bromo-Quinazoline-2,4-Diamine
7-Bromo-2,4-diaminoquinazoline is a chemical compound that is structurally related to trimethoprim and has antibacterial activity. 7-Bromo-2,4-diaminoquinazoline has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in the presence of trimethoprim. This drug binds to the bacterial ribosome and inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. It has a broad spectrum of activity against gram-positive pathogens, with selectivity for organisms that are resistant to other antibiotics. The rate of bacterial resistance can be optimized by using 7-bromo-2,4-diaminoquinazoline in combination with other drugs, such as trimethoprim.
