2-{Bis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]phosphino}-3,6-dimethoxy -2',4',6'-triisopropyl-1,1'-biphenyl (2-[PdCl]BP) is a drug that inhibits the activation of toll-like receptors (TLRs), which are proteins that play an important role in the immune system. 2-[PdCl]BP has been shown to be effective against metabolic disorders, cancer, and autoimmune diseases. It was originally discovered as an inhibitor of copper chloride and has been shown to have potential for the treatment of diabetic patients. In addition, this drug has been shown to inhibit glycosidic bond formation by blocking the oxidation of carbohydrate chemistry by palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions. This compound also inhibits nitrogen atoms from participating in amide formation or carbonyl group formation.
