O-tert-Butyl-D-serine is a serine derivative that can be used as a diagnostic marker for Borrelia infections. O-tert-Butyl-D-serine is an intermediate in the synthesis of polypeptides, and it can be found in human cells, where it has been shown to have a variety of biological functions. O-tert-Butyl-D-serine is also involved in the development of autoimmune diseases and symptoms. This chemical compound inhibits the growth of bacteria such as Borrelia, which are known to cause Lyme disease. Serological tests for O-tert-Butyl D-serine are available for diagnosis.
