Descrizione

Boc-L-valine amide is a cyclic, hydrophobic compound that contains an N-terminal valine residue and a C-terminal carboxylic acid. This modification has been shown to have antagonist activity against human endothelin, which is known to be involved in the regulation of blood pressure. The structural modifications on the carboxylic acid group increase the hydrophobicity of this molecule and make it more soluble in water. Boc-L-valine amide has been shown to inhibit endothelin binding with high affinity, making it a potential drug candidate for hypertension treatment.
