Tert-butyldimethylsilyl (S)-glycidyl ether is a lithiation reagent that can be used to introduce a lithium atom into an aromatic ring. It has been shown to affect the nervous system, although its mechanism of action is not fully understood. It also has optical activity and forms two geometric isomers that are optically active: dianion and monoanion.
