4-(3-Butenyloxy)benzoic Acid is a molecule that can be found in carbon nanotubes. It is an enantiomer of 4-Hydroxybenzoic acid. The mesomorphic property of this compound is due to the presence of two different conformations, one mesomorphic and one thermotropic. This property allows it to be used in deformation and actuation.
