Informazioni sul prodotto
- (3-Bromoindol-1-Yl)-Triisopropyl-Silane
3-Bromo-1-(triisopropylsilyl)indole (3BRPI) is a voltage-gated sodium channel inhibitor that blocks the channels in nerve cells that are responsible for sending pain signals to the brain. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for neuropathic pain, but not for acute pain. 3BRPI prevents the flow of sodium ions and causes hyperpolarization of nerve cells, which inhibits transmission of pain signals. 3BRPI is a heterocyclic compound with two fused rings and one alkyl group on each ring. 3BRPI binds to voltage-gated sodium channels at a site different from other channel blockers, making it a promising drug candidate for neuropathic pain.
