Informazioni sul prodotto
2,3-Bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine (2,3-BTP) is a triazine that has been used in the synthesis of electroluminescent devices. This chemical compound has an electron donating group attached to a trifluoromethyl group. 2,3-BTP is soluble in organic solvents and reacts with alkyllithiums to form lithium salts. The fluorine atom attached to the trifluoromethyl group makes this compound useful for fluorination reactions. It also has been used as a ligand in coordination chemistry and as a source of pyridines. In addition, 2,3-BTP can be converted into an iridium complex which is active in molecular electrochemistry applications such as oxidation and reduction reactions. The spectral properties of 2,3-BTP make it suitable for use in electrochemical cells as well as other applications involving light emission or absorption
