1-Bromo-2-chloro-3-fluoro-4-iodobenzene is a chemical with the molecular formula C6H4I2F3. It is an organic compound that is used as a precursor to other organic compounds. 1-Bromo-2-chloro-3-fluoro-4-iodobenzene can be synthesized in a low temperature reaction between sodium nitrite and amino compounds in sulfuric acid at refluxing. The synthesis method is called diazotization. Diazotization of sodium hydrogen sulfate produces sodium nitrite, which reacts with amino compounds to produce 1,2,3,4,5,6,-hexahydrobenzo[c]pyridine (1). This product then undergoes chlorination using chlorine gas and brominating agent (e.g., phosphorus tribromide) to produce 1-[bromo(chloromethyl)]hexahydro
