Informazioni sul prodotto
5-Chlorocytosine is an antimicrobial agent that is used to treat infectious diseases. It binds to DNA, blocking the synthesis of new strands and preventing the replication of bacteria. 5-Chlorocytosine has been shown to be effective against a variety of bacterial strains, including those that are resistant to other antibiotics. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it has been shown to kill bacteria by damaging their DNA in a process called photodynamic therapy. The compound also inhibits Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects in bowel disease.
