4-Chloro-2-methyl-6-nitroaniline is an inhibitor of tumor cell growth. It inhibits the activity of β-catenin, which is a protein that plays a role in the development of cancer cells. The drug also has cytosolic activity and can inhibit cellular proliferation. 4-Chloro-2-methyl-6-nitroaniline binds to DNA and causes mutations, which may lead to carcinogenicity. This drug also has anthelmintic activity and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for treating parasitic infections. 4CMA has pharmacokinetic properties that make it suitable for oral administration.
