Informazioni sul prodotto
- acetamide, 2-cyano-N-2-thiazolyl-
2-Cyano-N-1,3-thiazol-2-ylacetamide (ETP) is a cytotoxic agent that inhibits mitosis and may be used for the treatment of stromal tumor. It is a prodrug that is converted by enzymatic hydrolysis to etoposide, its active form. ETP binds to the benzene ring of DNA in the cell nucleus and interferes with DNA synthesis. This drug also has an antiradical activity and can inhibit cellular proliferation, which makes it effective against resistant cells. In addition, ETP can induce apoptosis in cancer cells by binding to DNA in the cell nucleus and inhibiting transcription.
