Descrizione:
2-(5-Chloro-3-methylbenzo[b]thiophen-2-yl)acetic acid (CMTBAA) is a carboxylic acid that has absorption enhancing properties and is used as an implantable drug. It is also used to control the disease process in various situations such as epoxy resin implants, amine evaporation, and iontophoresis. CMTBAA is soluble in diluents such as sulfoxides and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. CMTBAA is a weak base that can be protonated at physiological pH levels. The protonated form of this drug may have greater solubility in water than the unprotonated form.
