Descrizione:
1-Cyclohexenylacetonitrile (1-CHCN) is a synthetic compound with hydroxyl groups. It has been used as a radiation quencher and in the synthesis of piperazine, which is an inhibitor of plant growth. 1-CHCN has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis and asthma. The mechanism of action is not well understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of cytokines. A marine microorganism that produces 1-CHCN was found on the coast of Peru.
