Informazioni sul prodotto
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It has been detected in wastewater. Ciprofloxacin can be used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and sepsis. Ciprofloxacin has been shown to have adverse effects on the environment, including the removal of sulfadiazine from wastewater by ciprofloxacin and its uptake by animals. This drug is also toxic to humans at high doses. The health effects of ciprofloxacin are related to its ability to inhibit prostaglandins and interfere with the metabolism of other drugs, such as carbamazepine or carprofen.
