Citronellal can be found in chinese medicinal herbs such as lemongrass oil and other essential oils. Citronellal can be found in many plants, including rosemary, lemon, peppermint, and lavender. Citronellal is also present in Gram-positive species such as Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, and Escherichia coli.
