Descrizione

N-Cbz-L-glutamic acid O-benzyl ester is a synthetic analog of glutamic acid. It has been used in the synthesis of fluorescent proteins, which are genetically encoded sensors that emit light when activated by an external stimulus such as pH or temperature. Glutamic acid is a nucleophile and can be used to form covalent bonds with other molecules. N-Cbz-L-glutamic acid O-benzyl ester is also a good solvent for organic compounds, making it useful in the removal of acetonitrile, parathyroid solvents, and residues from glassware.
