Descrizione

N-[4-(-Carboxycyclohexylmethyl)]maleimide (CAEM) is a bifunctional molecule that has been shown to bind to both polymer conjugates and human serum albumin. CAEM has been detected in the skin extract of humans, where it is localized and binds to the target tissue. CAEM has also been shown to inhibit the binding of a monoclonal antibody to antigen-expressing cells in vitro. This inhibition is dose dependent and reversible, suggesting that CAEM may be used as a therapeutic agent for immunosuppression or cancer therapy.
