2-Cyanoethyl phosphorodichloridite is an endogenous compound that is synthesized from the amino acid cysteine. The receptor activity of 2-cyanoethyl phosphorodichloridite has been shown to be related to its ability to regulate transcriptional factors, such as cardiac and chloride channels. The mechanism of action of this agent is not yet known, but it may be related to the inhibition of growth factor receptors in platelets. This drug has been used in the synthesis of peptides and proteins, as well as in high-performance liquid chromatography.
