Descrizione

CI Pigment Brown is a coating pigment that is manufactured by the reaction of phosphorous acid and an aromatic hydrocarbon. It is used in coatings because it has good resistance to corrosion, low toxicity, low cost, and good hiding power. CI Pigment Brown is also used in the production of paper because it does not corrode or deteriorate paper products. CI Pigment Brown reacts with chloride to form a particle which helps provide opacity to the coating. The particle formed from this reaction can also be used as a filler for other coatings. CI Pigment Brown has acidic properties due to its condensation products which help provide adhesion to metal surfaces. It can be used as an additive for paints and plastics for its optical properties.
