2-ChLoro-4-fLuoroaniLine is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of anilines. It has been shown to have antimicrobial activity at high concentrations against Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium, and Bacillus cereus. 2-ChLoro-4-fluoroaniline is also used in the synthesis of other anilines. It has been shown to react with ammonium nitrate in the presence of hydrogen fluoride to form an amide that can be detected by mass spectrometry. Impurities found in 2-chloro-4-fluoroaniline include methylene chloride, methylene bromide, and chlorinated organics.
