Descrizione

Cyclopropylboronic acid pinacol ester is a boronic ester that is used in organic chemistry for the synthesis of enantiomerically pure molecules. It is also used to introduce functional groups into organic molecules and as a catalyst for reactions involving nucleophilic and electrophilic compounds. This reagent can be prepared by reacting anhydrous cyclopropylboric acid with pinacol, followed by hydrolysis of the resultant ester. Cyclopropylboronic acid pinacol ester has been used in the preparation of hydrazones, which are important intermediates in the synthesis of agrochemicals.
