Cyclohexyl magnesium bromide is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of organic compounds. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor and it dissolves in water, alcohols, and ethers. Cyclohexyl magnesium bromide reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce hydrogen and chlorine gas. Cyclohexyl magnesium bromide may be used to treat inflammatory diseases and metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus. It can also be used as an analgesic for treatment of diabetic neuropathy. Cyclohexyl magnesium bromide has been shown to have anti-cancer effects through its ability to inhibit the growth of tumours by causing cancer cells to stop dividing or die.
