Informazioni sul prodotto
- 6-Methyl-2-chloro benzothiazole
- 2-Chloro-6-methyl-1,3-benzothiazole
2-Chloro-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole is a chemical compound that inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA, which are the building blocks of viral replication. 2-Chloro-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole has been shown to inhibit the production of new viruses in cell cultures. This inhibition is dose dependent and occurs through an unknown mechanism, but it may be due to a synergistic effect with other antiviral drugs. The compound binds to the enzyme polymerase and prevents it from synthesizing DNA or RNA, as well as inhibiting the synthesis of proteins needed for viral replication. There are no reports of any side effects associated with 2-Chloro-6-methylbenzo[d]thiazole.
