N-CBZ-1,2,3,6-TETRAHYDROPYRIDINE is a novel antidepressant that has been shown to have a high oral bioavailability and excellent pharmacokinetic properties in monkeys. It has been shown to have an antidepressant-like effect in animal models of depression, which is likely due to its modulation of glutamate receptors. N-CBZ-1,2,3,6-TETRAHYDROPYRIDINE also has good pharmacokinetic properties and does not cause sedation or motor impairment in animals. The drug also does not induce tolerance after repeated dosing and exhibits a low incidence of side effects.
