1-Chloro-2,3,5-trifluorobenzene is a chloropentafluorobenzene sulfone. It is a nucleophilic compound that can react with fluoride ion and diethyl ether to form 1-chloro-2,3,5-tetrafluoroethyl sulfone or with potassium and aluminium to form 1-chloro-2,3,5-tetrafluoroethyl tetrahydrofuran. The yield of these reactions depend on the nature of the substituents and reaction time.
