2,6-Dibromo-4-fluoroaniline is a halogenated aromatic compound that can be used in the synthesis of 2,6-dichlorofluoranilines. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on mcf-7 cells by inhibiting mitochondrial membrane potential and DNA synthesis. The compound also inhibited the growth of carcinoma cells in an activated bioassay. 2,6-Dibromo-4-fluoroaniline has been shown to inhibit the mitochondrial pathway of cancer cells and may be used as a potential drug for cancer treatment.
