Informazioni sul prodotto
- 5-Pyrimidinemethanol, 2,4-Diamino-
2,4-Diaminopyrimidine-5-carboxaldehyde (2,4-DA) is a heterocyclic compound that has been used as an anticancer drug. It binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells. 2,4-DA has also been shown to be effective against opportunistic fungal infections and HIV. This compound is more stable in acidic conditions than other analogues and is chemically similar to trifluoroacetic acid. The 2,4-DA molecule contains a pyrazole ring with an amine functional group on one side and a carboxyl group on the other side. The hydrogen bond between these two groups stabilizes the molecule by binding it together in the correct conformation for receptor binding.
