Descrizione

[(6,6-Dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-yl)methyl]amine is a quinone that is synthesised from trifluoroacetic acid and amines. It has been shown to be a CB2 receptor agonist and a ligand for the CB1 receptor. This compound can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds such as chloramines, nitrous oxide, or chlorine gas. [(6,6-Dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-yl)methyl]amine has also been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro by stimulating apoptosis (cell death) via activation of caspase 3 and cleavage of poly(ADP ribose).
