Informazioni sul prodotto
- 4H-pyrimido[5,4-b]indol-4-one
- 3,5-dihydro-
Thiosemicarbazide is a drug that inhibits the growth of organisms by interfering with the production of nucleic acids. It has been shown to have an effect on tissues and organisms when given in doses that are higher than therapeutic levels. Thiosemicarbazide also inhibits the production of valine and dopamine, which may be due to its ability to react with thiol groups. This chemical can be synthetically prepared from 3,5-dihydro-4H-pyrimido[5,4-b]indol-4-one and triketone. Thiosemicarbazide has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as thymidylate synthase, topoisomerase II, ribonucleotide reductase, and cyclophilin A. Thiosemicarbazide is not commercially available but may be available in the future if studies show it is safe for human use.
